Hello, my name is Ethan Schulze.
I plan to walk the Heysen Trail, starting on the 30th of June to proudly support Novita Children's Services. Novita provides essential therapy, equipment and family support to over 1,300 children living with disabilities, and through broader work with families and communities, Novita has a direct impact on more than 10,000 South Australians.
Novita’s services and equipment are provided free of charge to clients, and in many cases, the value of this support adds up to tens of thousands of dollars per family, per year. The generosity of the community through their fundraising activities helps Novita to continue their life-changing work.

The Heysen Trail is a South Australian walking trail, which runs from Parachilna Gorge, in the Flinders Ranges via the Adelaide Hills to Cape Jervis on the Fleurieu Peninsula and is approximately 1200 km in length. This distance is longer than travelling from Adelaide to Melbourne and just a bit shorter then Adelaide to Alice Springs.
I will be walking from the 30th of June, until I am finished. I am hoping to be able to get the walk completed in 30 days, which requires 40km of trail to be walked every day. I will be carrying all equipment for the walk, and having food and water dropped off every few days on the track. I will be carrying all litter out with me. Leave only footprints and take only photographs.

I will be updating this blog with pictures and tales from the trail as I go.
